The Roster List
The Roster List is a baseball scouting and roster automation platform for desktop and mobile devices that allows coaches to manage team rosters, schedule games, upload video highlights, and communicate with college scouts. It also enables scouts to access athlete profiles, view player statistics and video highlights, see game schedules, and create personalized scout’s list.
My role & responsibility
I led the user experience and visual design efforts for The Roster List platform, and worked cross-functionally with members of The Roster List and TNXL Academy team. I was responsible for research, sitemap, wireframes, visual design and prototype.

The Challenge
In 2018, founding members of The Roster List and TNXL Academy tasked me with creating an experience for a scouting and roster automation platform for baseball scouts and coaches. The platform needed to enable the success and effectiveness of the most valuable resources in an organization - the people and their data.
Problems to solve
- Coaches need to manage their team throughout the season
- Coaches need to make in-season updates
- Scouts need to know where and when prospects are playing
- Scouts need to know the status of top prospects, with accurate, real-time information
- Scouts need to be able to communicate with a coach about a specific player/prospect
The Solution
Craft an experience that puts front office scouts and team coaches in control through a mobile response platform that allows them to accomplish the following:
- Coaches can easily create team rosters and schedule games for any division or graduation class
- Coaches can make changes or substitutions to team rosters on a game-by-game basis.
- Scouts can access player profiles, view statistics, watch game highlights and upcoming schedules
- Scouts can add prospects to a scout’s list, so they can track the status of their top prospects
- Scouts can message coaches directly through a players profile
- Scouts can view all players participating in any particular game
- Scouts can view team schedules across all organizations
